Poland is a party to the 1980 Hague Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction. It is also a member of the EU, which implies that, for cases concerning other EU Member States, Regulation 2019/1111 on jurisdiction and the recognition and enforcement of judgments in matrimonial matters and in matters of parental responsibility and international child abduction and other relevant EU legislation are applicable.
